This is especially important to those of you residing in the thriving metropolis of Huntsvegas.

Your sudden and inexplicable civic-mindedness is impressive.

Congratulations on your news story.

How did Alabama News Platoon first approach you to write for them, and why? Or did you just march in and make yourself available to them?

How often will you write for the paper?

Will your columns have a common theme?

How will writing for Alabama News Platoon affect your blogging? Do you think you will blog less to spend more time writing for the paper?

What sets http://alabama.newsplatoon.com apart from other news sites?

Are you going to quit your day job?

congrats on your reporter! I will soon read your first post, but right now I'm in a hurry for some things.

Thanks for your hug, it's nice to have someone like you so rational. I mean, it's probaly quite painful for you to have to deal with my constant teenage girl whining, so thanks. A lot. I'll do you the favor (and mine) of not burn it, and I'll even finish the song. I'll play it in concert, whether he likes it or not. But seriously, it's just a song! Do boys have to freak out whenever a girl does something nice?! I had 2 people tell me to not have told him. Sorry, for turning this into a couple hundred words, my main point is, thank you.

I think you should have told him, but there's a time and a place for that.

It's always been there, I just found a place where I can plug in.

Congratulations on your news story.
Thank you, Sir!

How did Alabama News Platoon first approach you to write for them, and why? Or did you just march in and make yourself available to them?
When I signed up to be part of the April 15th Tea Party here in the thriving metropolis of Huntsvegas, I was sent an email by the Tea Party leader introducing the volunteers to News Platoon and they told us that Bradley Hankins was looking for volunteers. I emailed back and forth with Bradley and the next thing you know, I was part of the project.

How often will you write for the paper?
There's no dead tree counterpart. This is a grassroots movement to get Conservative reporting by volunteers in each State, hence the sub-domains.

To answer your question about how often I will write, the answer is as often as Alabama news happens where I am able to report on it first hand. News Platoon is still growing and trying to get structured as a recognized media outlet. And there are only a few of us. We have to write around our schedules.

Are you going to quit your day job?
Not yet.

You have to understand that there are many things at play here. News Platoon is still in its infancy, having originally been created to support the national Tea Parties. News Platoon got put together to late to be effective for the April 15th parties. Here in Alabama, there is division over the July 4th Tea Parties. For instance: Are we really united on this issue? Is this a protest against just the Administration's spending or is there something more? Do we all support the Fair Tax? Do we support the politicians that are piggy-backing on these movements?

The other thing to consider is that for me, this is a social experiment and directly feeds into why I opened a Twitter account and why I have re-opened my FaceBook account. (Thankfully MySpace is dead and I don't have to deal with that POS). I have been successful in accomplishing Phase I of my goals. Phase II requires much more output by me. This is a work in progress just like all of my endeavors, but I can say that I feel like I got started with a bang, even if News Platoon was working through issues such as CAPTCHA. I'm confident that whether I write again for News Platoon or not this has been and will be a success, especially viewed in the context of a much bigger picture, namely name recognition.

Thank you for your kind words.

The Huntsville Housing Authroity (HHA) is a problem that we the citizens are working hard to fix. Unfortunately, the mayor may not make it to the next election. Oh well! that's what politics is all about!
