The poorest man may in his cottage bid defiance to all the force of the Crown. It may be frail; its roof may shake; the wind may blow through it; the storms may enter; the rain may enter--but the King of England cannot enter.

Goddamnit I have that problem all the time! Just the other day the King of England was knocking at my door. "Go away!" I yelled, but he just cursed and kept knocking. I think he might've been drunk. One time, I got home from work, and there he was sitting on the front step, waiting for me.

"May I come in?" He asked.

Jesus. It was hot out that day so I brought him a glass of water - I didn't let him in though!

He's so silly, the King of England. He makes me laugh.

I was reading the above referrenced book, saw the quote and thought it would make a good reflective post as a stand alone quotation.

Now this.

Well, it wouldn't be funny except that he's always trying to get in! I didn't know you had the same problem with him.

You have no idea. He can be a real persistent bastard at times. I think he took President Coolidge's words to heart.
