PSA: I Wanna Write! [Oct. 8th, 2010|09:25 pm]

[music |Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart - 100 Masterpieces]

I know I've made a lot of promises in the past, but I'm gearing up for something big. REALLY BIG. Big.

I've just outlined in Scrivener a blog post that I've been wanting to get written for quite some time. I've wanted to write about this ever since it happened because I want to document the event; after all, my blog is my journal. The irony is this is a story about writing a story, one that I haven't written yet. However, when that story gets written, I think it will be the beginning of something big.

Now comes the part that everyone hates. I have to do the actual writing. I think simply by starting the outline that both the documentary and the story itself have a good chance of one day coming to fruition. Of course, time is the enemy, and I don't have much of it having moved to a new position at work and going to school, but I do intended to find the time somewhere, even if it's just on the weekends.

I hate to get hopes up like this for something that you won't be able to see evidence of for months to come, but I do promise that if you hang in there with me, your two cents could become worth its weight in gold as you comment on the project. I can only say that all will be revealed in time; I'm simply bursting wanting to use the right side of my brain to get away from all that sequential stuff at work. I simply had to share the good news with someone–even if that someone is only my journal–that I'm ready to write.

Of course, this could have something to do with the fact that the first installment of my subscription to The Writer finally came in the mail today.

I've known you since 2004. How much more time do you think you're going to need?

What makes this different is the payoff at the end for me. I might add that this is a new project, one that was conjured up in late July; I've not yet started to work on it.

All in good time.

P.S. I forgot to put in my post that the post about what is to be written may be so big that I will have to break it up into Part I and Part II because there is that much backstory needed to explain what is really going on.

I know that there are people out there that like to read my work, so they will get to enjoy a lengthy post or two in my style. Luck them.

Teh Writings

Really looking forward to it! I've always known you to be insightful, thought-provoking and provocative. If what I've read in the past is but a flavor of what is to come, then I know I'll be in for a treat!

Good luck to you, sir, and I hope we get to read it sooner rather than later!

You did say it would take a while so don't stress yourself - the best things are always worth the wait (at least that's what I tell myself as I wait impatiently for them :P)
