The Return of Votergasm [Dec. 22nd, 2009|09:08 am]

This is TRULY one of the most pathetic things I've ever heard. If you refuse to have sex with somebody SOLELY based on their stance on this atrocious health care bill, you are a MORON.

Just when every tactic in the book had been seemingly exhausted in the health care debate, Rock the Vote comes along with a new one: if you want health care reform, don't sleep with anyone who opposes it until his or her mind is changed. The youth advocacy group is pushing the campaign in a Web video and pledge on its Web site, which asks supporters to "hold out" for health care. The subtlety of the online pledge, though, is completely undone by the video, which employs zero rhetorical devices, except for a couple of bleeps, to get its message bluntly across. "We pledge ourselves to the health and liberty of young Americans and to government for the people ... and to never f---ing you if you are against us," the team of actors in the video says. "We will vote against you, work against you, and once again, just in case you forgot, never ever, never ever, never ever, never ever f--- you." The video was produced by comedy site FunnyorDie.com, the site that promoted "Obama Girl" and her raunchy videos in support of Barack Obama during the 2008 presidential campaign. But while that site often posts satire videos, Rock the Vote is collecting signatures for the "hold out" for health care campaign on its own site. Rock the Vote President Heather Smith said in a written statement that the group is just trying to remind young people "they have a stake and a say" in the health care debate. "Young people are the most uninsured age group in America and are living and dying with this issue every day," she said. "And we need to keep rocking the vote so that politicians pay attention."

The video features actress Eva Amurri from the show "Californication" and Zach Gilford from "Friday Night Lights." Article here.

That's been one of my longstanding rules for years: I don't bone Democrats.

Unless they're really hot.

You mean you masturbate about thinking about people like skank Megan Fox?

Look, I know we sometimes disagree based on our own personal experiences, and I also understand that some slang terms aren't fully embraced by everyone - that's my bad.

But I am 40-years old, and have had *actual* penetrating "penis-in-vagina" sexual intercourse with women. I don't know how much more clearly I can state that.

I know you've stated several, several times that you feel you are 'asexual' but for those of us who aren't, entering a woman is a pleasurable experience. Sadly, that's one activity which would be difficult for me to articulate in a way someone like you could understand.

So you admit to sleeping with skank starlets. Should the police be fingering you for Brittany Murphy's death?

Bonus: Did you have an affair with Tiger Woods?

Look guys it really doesn't matter whether or not you are willing to have sex with democrats, since now they won't have sex with you! :p

I have to say though, that it's quite amusing watching this whole ordeal from out here in Canada! We've always had health care, and from our point of view, the US insurance companies seem a lot more like death panels! I mean, they CAN and DO turn people away, but here, they can't. We pay our taxes, and in return, all the basics are paid for. Doctor visits, hospital visits, vaccines, xrays, CT scans, etc. Many people still choose to have health benefits, and companies offer it as incentive for employees. Benefits here offer extras like private hospital rooms, and coverage for glasses and dental and prescriptions. But if you loose your job and your benefits, you still have basic coverage. I don't understand how that is a bad thing. I guess I'm biased because I've only ever known it this way. But both my mom and sister as registered nurses worked in the states, and they think the current health care system there is ridiculous. It's just a business, and if helping someone isn't beneficial to their business, that person doesn't get helped.

Sorry! I guess this was more of a post than a comment. I thought those videos were total jokes, I'm amazed to see that they are actually inspiring action. Just ridiculous.

The problem with the USA adopting a Universal Health System like Canada's or Britain's is this: Our for-profit system makes the expensive R&D that's needed to make new drugs and treatments possible. And other countries get to benefit from the USA's medical advancements. Who will do all that R&D when profit is taken out of the equation here?

And about the insurance companies...the government already regulates them. And their interference just made the problem worse. In some states, two or three health insurance companies have a monopoly because the citizens aren't allowed to purchase out-of-state plans that are more affordable and/or fit their lifestyle better.

It's just a business, and if helping someone isn't beneficial to their business, that person doesn't get helped.

That just isn't true. People are not dying in the streets here. It's illegal for a hospital to turn away someone in need even if they can't pay. In fact, many hospitals in the USA go bankrupt and have to shut down because they treat tons of illegal immigrants who don't pay and don't provide legit billing addresses.

Sorry if I came off as harsh there. I wouldn't be so adamantly against Universal Health Care if the Obama administration just acknowledged how expensive it would be and vowed to get rid of some useless government programs/positions (like Americorps, the Czars, the NEA, etc) in order to pay for it.

The Liberal compromise: I win, you lose, then you lose some more.

If you really want to be effective, you should read Confrontational Politics. Though it can be read in an afternoon, it packs more punch then Max Bayer and Mike Tyson combined. This book will show you why Conservatives fail to be effective, how the Left has organized and how we can be effective. If you are working on any campaigns in your district this go around, you need to read this book ASAP and give it to your candidate.

The YouTube video you embedded is actually a piece of satire made by a conservative group. But the sad thing is that its hard to tell the difference between the satire video and the actual Rock the Vote ad.

I think its great that the actual Rock the Vote ad is flat out telling us that the Democrats are willing to whore out their women in order to get dumb, horny young guys (and desperate old cougars) to change their stance on healthcare reform. Next time one of my liberal friends starts lecturing me about how Republicans/Conservatives are misogynist pigs; I'll just point them to this video instead of wasting my breath on another pointless debate.

This Rock the Vote ad also fails to understand how men operate. Conservative and Libertarian men have lied about their political views in order to shag easy liberal girls since the 1960s. The fact that said girls apparently haven't caught on to this trick yet is hysterical! XD
