A Little Gun History [Sep. 7th, 2009|06:59 pm]
Tomas Gallucci
[Tags|, , , , , , , , ]

This is in honor of the men and women who have served this country only to come back and find out what a mess we've made of it with our complacency.

In 1929, the Soviet Union established gun control.. From 1929 to 1953, about 20 million dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

In 1911, the Ottoman Empire (now Turkey) established gun control. From 1915 to 1917, 1.5 million Armenians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Germany established gun control in 1938 and from 1939 to 1945, a total of 13 million Jews and others who were unable to defend themselves were rounded up and exterminated.

China established gun control in 1935. From 1948 to 1952, 20 million political dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Guatemala established gun control in 1964. From 1964 to 1981, 100,000 Mayan Indians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Uganda established gun control in 1970. From 1971 to 1979, 300,000 Christians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Cambodia established gun control in 1956. From 1975 to 1977, 1 million educated people, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Defenseless people rounded up and exterminated in the 20th Century because of gun control: 56 million.

You won't see this data on the US evening news, or hear politicians disseminating this information. Guns in the hands of honest citizens save lives and property and, yes, gun-control laws adversely affect only the law-abiding citizens.

Take note my fellow Americans, before it's too late! The next time someone talks in favor of gun control, please remind them of this history lesson: With guns, we are citizens. Without them, we are subjects.

During WWII the Japanese decided not to invade America because they knew
most Americans were ARMED!

The purpose of fighting is to win. There is no possible victory in defense. The sword is more important than the shield, and skill is more important than either. The final weapon is the brain. All else is supplemental.

Switzerland issues every household a gun! Switzerland's government trains every adult they issue a rifle. Switzerland has the lowest gun related crime rate of any civilized country in the world!!!

Don't let our government waste millions of our tax dollars in an effort to make all law abiding citizens an easy target. I'm a firm believer of the 2nd Amendment. Just think about how powerful our government is getting. They think the countries listed here failed because they just didn't do it right.

Learn from history. Support your Second Amendment rights.

I can truly say that it was my pleasure. What an answer by Ted Nugent!

I have to give my standard disclaimer and say I don't agree with everything he says, but the Nuge is priceless. I love this quote from the article below: "Uncle Sam is like a stoned, dirty, stinkin' hippie with a credit card". Ha!

I will freely admit that I had no clue who Ted Nuget was until I saw the clip yesterday. That having been said, what I did see had me in stitches. In this clip, he's spot on and now, thanks to you, I hvae another Nugent quotable.

To quote Collin Farell in In Bruge, "Jesus he swears a lot."

Thanks for the read. That was great. if you catch a paroled monster in your kid's room, you get a lifetime supply of quality ammo, a new gun and $100,000 if you shoot the fucker dead.

I live in Texas... therefore, I think us Texans are free from round-up. We do the rounding up ;)

This is why I affectionately refer to Texas as "The People Independent Republic of Texas".

Aaaaand this is why I buy into what Nugent says in the clip above: http://bit.ly/GGrjV

Only 3-1/2 years?? Crazy short serntence to begin with, but he's also a proven repeat offender and that's ALL HE GETS? WTF?????????

Oh Tanya, you don't understand. He's just a troubled soul. If we could just get to know him, we'd find out he isn't a bad guy underneath all that. It's not his fault he's the way he is. It's society's.

I've always disliked the fact that there's "gun control" and now I'm going to show this to my gun hating friends, lets see how they react to this. And now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go target shooting with my friends and their rifles, so I know how to use on when my dad buys one.

PS: I love this guy. I'm surprised I haven't heard of him up to this point.

What an awesome statement! I keep watching the video because of his spot-on accuracy. I've never seen someone as articulate and passionate about their beliefs as the Nuge.

1911 Turkey == Ottoman Empire != Turkey

Thought you should know. Turkey didn't become Turkey until 1922, when they dispelled the Ottomans and got a parliament together.

Istanbul was Constantinople now its Istanbul not Constantinople. Why'd Constantinople get the works? That's nobody's business but the Turks.
