Rain on the Lake

I wound up working just shy of 8 hours yesterday after the weekly support the troops rally. I was supposed to go deliver food that evening, but by the time I finished work for my primary job and paid bills, it was already 2000. When I went to reach for my razor, I didn't have any blades to shave with, so since I hadn't been of any use to the delivery place yesterday and would be worth even less by the time I finally got there, I had the night off. So I headed to the lake house.

Of course, by the time I finally got here just after 2200, I finally woke up from the stupor I had been in all week, so after fiddling with the non-working internet connection for what seemed like hours, I gave up and watched The Dark Knight on m0bil30n3 finally crashing around 0230.

I had another one of my nightmares where my apartment was being broke into and I didn't have a weapon to defend myself with, so I was made to do things against my will while watching the destruction of my property. Then I awoke at 0730 to the above sight. i don't know what is causing the lines on the water, but I thought it was cool to capture them. If you look through the slide show you can see that it was raining too.

I'm so glad you finally got a camera. Otherwise, you wouldn't have been able to capture this.

I had that very same thought. What think you of the slide show?

I stopped watching them after your last one both mislead me, and failed to entertain me. You see, I thought something was wrong with my java when your "installing snow leopard" stopped prior to it *actually* installing. And by the time I realized it was just a couple of pictures of your computer screen which, for reasons beyond my comprehension didn't conclude - I vowed never to watch one of those again as it was a colossal waste of my time. Sorry.

You just set off the bullshit alarms.

Your last frame was at like, "50% complete" or somesuch nonsense. What is my motivation behind bullshitting you? PHOTOGRAPHS OF AN INCOMPLETE INSTALLATION ARE BORING.

Oh. That makes so much more sense now.

Yeah...there wasn't much to the finished product. The reason I took the Snow Leopard snaps was to have something to do while the machine upgraded. It was a way for me to visually tell my readers that yes, I was upgrading on the day. My apologies for unintentionally misleading you into thinking that was a comprehensive shoot of a start to finish install.

I really enjoyed looking at your photos. There's one particular shot that I really love, I think it's number 19 in your slide show. I love that picture :)

You're too kind. I'm only a rank amateur who's found a new passion and hobby.

I think it's number 19 in your slide show.
This one?

Rain on the Lake

Nice photos! I especially like the one you featured, and the ones focused on the raindrops.

Is m0bil30n3 yr laptop?

Bizarro dream...but sometimes those are the most interesting.

Re: Rain on the Lake

Nice photos!
Thank you Ma'am.

I especially like the one you featured, and the ones focused on the raindrops.
I was surprised at how well they all turned out. Like I just told darkest_writer, I'm but a rank amateur, though I do want to get a real camera like the D60 or better and learn how to take a proper photo.

Is m0bil30n3 yr laptop?
Indeed.

Bizarro dream...but sometimes those are the most interesting.
I mean to put in my post that I've wanted to purchase a gun for quite some time. Price, paperwork and lack of funds have prevented me from purchase thus far, but if the economic trend continues thus putting more looters on the street, I WILL exercise my Second Amendment rights.
