The Dream [May. 24th, 2007|03:27 pm]

Last night I dreamed that I went to Texas to visit ehowton. The drive only took four hours. When I got there, the inside of the house was dark and had tones of yellowed aging.

I walked in and we shook hands and began to visit. There were babies crawling everywhere! On the couch, on the floor...it was a nightmare. drax0r and jesskd26 were in the kitchen in the background somewhere.

I then dreamed that my family showed up...that is minus Pumblechook. For the life of me, I couldn't figure out where he was or why he wasn't there. Whatever. I made the introductions all around.

Eric was tired. All he wanted to do was sit in one of the wooden chairs in the dining room (which was part of the living room and carpeted). He was very unresponsive. I remembered thinking "Poor Eric."

Then I picked up one of the babies that was crawling on the table. It was Chloe (the expected). I remember that I accidentally nicked the table with her back and started thinking that I'd incur the wrath of Mr. and Mrs. Drax0r.

Then I woke up.

I swear I've been as sober as a judge for several weeks.

What the hell?

EDIT:

I found this image and since it fit so well with the post, I couldn't pass up an oppurtunity to use it.

Dream

*stupified look* What on earth?... Thats quite the dream. About as bad as ones I've had about you. I told you about the one which contained you, Barrett and Chris and how you and bear started fighting... even though I didn't know why and how you wouldn't stop. :-P

As of yet -- haven't dreamt about Eric yet, but I haven't talked to him on the phone, so I don't know what his voice sounds like. Not very likely I'll dream about him if I don't know what his voice sounds like.

Anyway --

I've ended up dreaming about a lot of people I know on here actually... just, not recently. And far as I know, no one you know.

Last dream I REMEMBER though, was about my dad and I. We'd gone over to the horse farm that is 5/6 miles east of our farm and the head trainer was drunk, so he was scaring the horses with all his staggering around and the smell of booze on his breath/clothes. Dad grabbed my arm and pushed me over to harness up the horses while he went over to harness the other one, but they wouldn't let us near them until he went to burger king and bought 2 cheese burgers and let them watch us eat them. *rolls my eyes* thats just weird.
The dream shifted so that when I was finally able to get near them, they were so tall I had to use a ladder to put the harnesses on them.

Anyway -- there have been a few murderous dreams in there to, but none that were weird. Just your average I hate this person so I'm dreaming about killing him or her, type dreams.

Re: Dream

Actually, you didn't tell me about that dream with myself, Barrett and Chris.

The dream with about your dad is out of this world.

Re: Dream

I paraphrased the fight one with you Bear and Chris.

Assuming I remember it... the three of you had come to surprise me and you were being yourself and slammed me and Bear jumped you because of it and Chris was standing back watching said that since Bear was big he had a certain advantage, but since you were like a little bulldog you also had one, so he wanted to see who would win... so he wouldn't break it up. You both ended up pretty messed up. Bear won, but thats cuz at that time I was partial to him. funny how in a years time your emotions change so drastically... I don't mean that I don't like him anymore -- no far from it, I still like him a lot, just the simple fact that since we don't talk... there isn't much left to the friendship.

I was sure I told you about that dream. *befuddled look* It doesn't matter... but the reason I thought I had, is cuz you were kind of weirded out I was dreaming about you.

Proper installation of a computer program...

Computer Program
How To Install Software
A 12-Step Program
by Dave Barry
(from his new book "Dave Barry In Cyberspace")

1. Examine the software packaging until you find a little printed box that explains what kind of computer system you need to run the software.

It should look something like this:

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

* 2386 PROCESSOR OR HIGHER
* 628.8 MEGAHERTZ MODEM
* 719.7 MB FREE DISK SPACE
* 3546 MB RAM
* 432323 MB ROM
* 05948737 MB RPM
* ANTI LOCK BRAKING SYSTEM
* 2 TURTLE DOVES

NOTE: This software will not work on your computer.

2. Open the software packaging and remove the manual. This will contain detailed instructions on installing, operating, and troubleshooting the software. Throw it away.

3. Find the actual software, which should be in the form of either a 3.5-inch floppy diskette or a CD-ROM, located inside a sealed envelope that says:

LICENSING AGREEMENT:

By breaking this seal, the user hereinafter agrees to abide by all the terms and conditions of the following agreement that nobody ever reads, as well as the Geneva Convention and the U.N. Charter and the Secret Membership Oath of the Benevolent Protective Order of the Elks and such other terms and conditions, real and imaginary, as the Software Company shall deem necessary and appropriate, including the right to come to the user's home and examine the user's hard drive, as well as the user's underwear drawer if we feel like it, take it or leave it, until death do us part, one nation indivisible, by the dawn's early light, ...finders keepers, losers weepers, thanks you've been a great crowd, and don't forget to tip your servers.

4. Hand the software to a child aged 3 through 12 and say, "(Name of child), please install this on my computer."

5. If you have no child age 3 through 12, insert the software in the appropriate drive, type "SETUP" and press the Enter key.

6. Turn the computer on, you idiot.

7. Once again type "SETUP" and press the Enter key.

8. You will hear grinding and whirring noises for a while, after which the following message should appear on your screen:

The Installation Program will now examine your system to see what would be the best way to render it inoperable. Is it OK with you?

Choose one, and be honest:

+ ------- + + -------- +

| YES | | SURE |

+ ------- + + -------- +

9. After you make your selection, you will hear grinding and whirring for a very long time while the installation program does who knows what in there.

Some installation programs can actually alter molecular structures, so that when they're done, your computer has been transformed into an entirely new device, such as a food processor.

At the very least, the installation program will create many new directories, subdirectories, sub-sub-directories on your hard drive and fill them with thousands of mysterious files with names like "puree.exe," "fester.dat," and"doo.wha."

10. When the installation program is finished, your screen should display the following message:

CONGRATULATIONS

The installation program cannot think of anything else to do to your computer and has grown bored. You may now attempt to run your software. If you experience any problems, electrical shocks, insomnia, shortness of breath, nasal discharge, or intestinal parasites, you should immediately swear *!@!$)$%@&*^)$*!#$_$*^&.

11. At this point your computer system should become less functional than the federal government, refusing to respond even when struck with furniture.

12. Call the toll-free Technical Support Hot line number listed on the package and wait on the line for a representative, who will explain to you, in a clear, step-by-step manner, how to adopt a child aged 3 through 12

Last night I dreamed that I went to Texas to visit ehowton.
Dude, that was no dream. You were here last weekend.

When I got there, the inside of the house was dark and had tones of yellowed aging.
This is a feeling of repressed dread. You're actually scared to death of coming up here, thinking you'll be ass-raped when you arrive.

...it was a nightmare. drax0r and jesskd23 were in the kitchen in the background somewhere.
WTF is jesskd23?

Eric was tired.
This requires no imagination whatsoever.

You sir, were high on life last night, and most assuredly overtired. I'm glad everything worked out.

Dude, that was no dream. You were here last weekend.
Why do I feel like you're trying to pull another professortom here?

This is a feeling of repressed dread. You're actually scared to death of coming up here, thinking you'll be ass-raped when you arrive.
Honestly, I don't know what to expect, though I'm sure that it will be an adventure and a story to tell my great great grandkids.

WTF is jesskd23?
I copied that directly from this post. Will fix.

This requires no imagination whatsoever.
No shit. I think you are a one-state state machine.

You sir, were high on life last night, and most assuredly overtired.
I was that. Furthermore, I fell asleep stretched out on my futon in a half-sitting, half laying position. I woke up three hours later still wearing my clothes with the lights and my laptop on. It was all I could do to get undressed and turn off the lights and laptop. I almost fell out in the floor I was in such a stupor.

I froze my comment ("fixed") reply because I wanted people to reply to the parent of that comment because LJ does not support editing of comments.
