Do you write your own HTML when you are composing an Live Journal Post?
I knew fourth or fifth nudge would be the charm!
While it's something, I hope you realize that, while I will find the results of this poll interesting (especially if I can get a few handfuls of people to take the survey), I think this post is shallow.
What you perceive as shallow, most of us think of as just 'fun'. It's an interesting concept - you should try fun some time. You might enjoy it.. if you'd let yourself :)
Contrary to popular belief, I can and sometimes do have fun.
If the popular belief is that you don't, then it doesn't sound like you're having anywhere near enough of it!
I've been struggling with this problem lately: it seems like whenever I meet someone new–particularly a young, attractive woman–I can't seem to find chemistry. Instead, I come off as this over-serious, unfunny guy which simply isn't true.
But I can't disagree: given my current situation, I haven't had enough fun in quite some time.
You've taken some hits lately. That's bound to take its toll on the way you see yourself, the world, and your overall fun levels.
Also, I apparently can't type. And you can't edit polls once posted.
Hardly anyone ever notices things like that, unless you point it out to them :)
a. If I am writing a short, very focused post to a time limit, right on the Post New Entry page.
b. If I am thinking/venting out loud on the go, from the iOS app from my iPhone SE (but I usually write in Notes or a blank e-mail first). Last time I wrote in the iOS app itself, I had an embarrassing typo—"lives" for "lived". In context, it makes sense.
c. If I am writing a very long post that requires deep focus (usually over two or three paragraphs), I will open a plain-text editor and compose my thoughts there. In my browser, I am WAY more likely to be distracted by the 30+ tabs open.
Incidentally I also was a great lover of the voice posts. It was a primary reason I bought a Paid account. I will still renew my paid account because it's less than #20 a year. I like the status, and I have 13 icons, occasionally add more, and one of these days will be disciplined enough to upload a custom mood-theme.
